Fishing Klinics for Kids (FKFK) has been very busy with many different events recently. One of the latest was at the Minnesota State Fair in August through Labor Day. Here members teamed up the MN. DNR and helped provide educational games which taught the kids and parents about the fisheries, rules and regulations.
One of the games available was the Wheel of Fish spinning board where simple questions were asked of the kids with parental help if needed. Another game was questions about a legal limit of walleyes even if you had some frozen in your ice box at the cabin on the lake. Even many parents missed that answer. FKFK had different teams there and appreciated our partnership with the DNR. Every child received a poster showing all the fish in Minnesota Lakes.
Also recently FKFK members had their pictures taken with some of their “Gold key” sponsors. A Few of these were the Buffalo Lions Club and Super America in Buffalo, MN who have been with FKFK for many years. FKFK’s name was painted onto a 5 foot statue of a bison paid for by the Lions and is in down town Buffalo. The wild life artist just happened to work at Super America.. The attached images was taken at the dedication by the Wright County Journal-Press and The Drummer photographer!
