July 13th, 2013 Fargo, ND-FM Walleyes Unlimited, Inc., held a Future Angler Event at the Cullen’s Children Foundation Annual Picnic. The foundation was founded in 2003 by the NHL’s Matt Cullen and his wife Bridget to provide financial resources to organizations that support children’s healthcare needs, with an emphasis on cancer.
A big thanks to Greg Karsch and the NPAA Future Angler Foundation for donating 75 Fishoflague shirts, rod and reel combos, books, DVD’s and pamphlets on the education of ANS to be handed out to the kids.
The event also consisted of spinner making in which all the kids had the option to learn how to tie their own spinner and take home with them. All of the spinner rigs were donated by Northland Fishing Tackle.
The last event set up for the kids to enjoy were six casting stations. The kids casted plugs into the mouths of giant wooden fish for a great catch.
