NPAA member Jamie Robinson #387 and his 9 year old son Brett placed 5th at the Geraldton Walleye Classic, June 26th & 27th. The Geraldton Walleye Classic was the 3rd stop of the Northern Ontario Professional Walleye Trail (NOPWT) and hosted 115 teams.
Fishing was extremely tough with many teams catching little to no fish both days. Jamie and Brett put together two solid days catching 6.53 pounds Saturday which put them in 15th after day one. Sunday they caught 6.75 pounds for a total of 13.28 and 5th place. The Robinson’s caught their walleyes with a combination of live bait rigging with Fin-tech’s Tech Stiks and pitching Fin-tech Nuckleball jigs.
Although Brett was the youngest competitor in the event and this was his first walleye tournament with Dad. He is no stranger to the boat since he has been prefishing for tournaments from 4 years of age.
Jamie would like to thank his supporters MirroCraft Boats, Evinrude, Buck’s Marina, Fin-tech, Minn-Kota, Humminbird and Berkley.
