Minneapolis, Minn. (May 18, 2012) – Winning his THIRD victory in the walleye side of the FLW Outdoors organization, the National Guard FLW Walleye Tour, Kevin McQuoid left no doubt: he is an All-Star walleye angler. As humble as he is skilled, McQuoid would never jump up and down about his own accomplishments. So allow us to summarize:
* FLW Outdoors career winnings in excess of $350,000
* One of only three anglers with three FLW victories on the walleye side; one of two to do so with all three first-place finishes at the higher “Tour” level over the years
* Holds record for largest three-day tournament weight in FLW history: 118 pounds 4 ounces
Kevin McQuoid is one of a star-studded line up for the second year of the All-Star Walleye School, presented by the National Guard FLW Walleye Tour and Ranger Boats. The school will be held August 9-12, 2012 out of McQuoid’s Inn on Lake Mille Lacs in Minnesota. Yes, you read it right. Kevin McQuoid’s home waters. Rounding out the All-Star angler instructors: Mark Courts, Paul Meleen, Brian Brosdahl and Bill Shimota.
“If I were a fisherman that wanted to get up close to these really great walleye anglers and learn how they dissect bodies of water and how they produce fish when under pressure, I’d attend this school,” shared Chip Leer, host of the school. “You couldn’t ask for a better couple of days to have fun on a great fishery, learn a lot, and really get to know some of the best sticks in the business.” Leer is emcee for the National Guard FLW Walleye Tour. “These guys really are some of the best there are!”
And for several of these guys, this is their home waters. “Kevin just showed everyone that he can win in Ohio,” shared George Liddle of Ranger Boats. “To be able to spend time with him and the other All-Star anglers on their home waters would be an opportunity of a lifetime. Any angler that wants to be more productive with their walleye fishing time should consider attending.”
Space is limited and most packages include lodging at McQuoid’s Inn. Pricing starts at $700 per person. Interested parties should contact Chip Leer at 218-547-4714 or e-mail: [email protected].
