Forestville, WI -Larson Boats is the newest industry supporting partner of the National Professional Anglers Association. Director of Engineering of the Little Falls, MN based company Ron Sahr said, “NPAA endorses fishing; that’s good for all of us; that’s why Larson Boats is joining forces with this organization.”
Larson Boats has been in the boat-building business for more than a century. Three years ago, the company introduced their “FX” fishing line of boats. Sahr said, “Fishing boats have quickly grown to a large percentage of what we do now. The anglers and dealers love the boats, now nine models from 16 to 20 feet.”
Sahr pointed to a natural expansion of the “FX” series with one new 16-foot model and one new 18-foot model ready to be introduced this boat show season. Two additional new 1850 models (side-console and tiller) will be ready for the 2015 season. “We’re still a family boat, and that’s how people see Larson, which means the boats are perfect for family fun or tournaments,” he said. “We need to get kids outside and see nature, and boating and fishing are two great ways to accomplish this.”
The “FX” series features a soft-ride that is designed into the flared hull with a split chine. The patented VEC technology reduces weight. “This is a unique running surface,” he said. VEC construction produces a precise computer-controlled one-piece hull with an integrated composite stringer system. Every VEC hull comes with a transferrable lifetime limited warranty.
Larson Boats professional angler Jimmy Bell said, “This ride is something you have to feel to believe. Whether bass, musky or walleye fishing with the family or in a tournament on any size water, my FX2020 dual console provides the room to fish, plenty of storage space and the best ride to get there and home.”
NPAA Executive Director Pat Neu said, “The NPAA member base is growing; so is the list of Supporting Partners. We are proud to welcome Larson Boats as our most recent partner. We look forward to working with them as they broaden their marketing efforts to anglers across the country.”
