Learn 2 Fish With Us Kicks-Off Lil Angler Event with Fishing Basics Seminar

Learn 2 Fish With Us, Angler Educator and NPAA member Greg Karch #138 kicked-off the Lil Angler event  with his Fishing Basics seminar in Kaukauna, Wisconsin on May 10th.  The morning started with Greg presenting his Fishing Basics seminar which reviews: safety, open and closed spinning combo’s, casting, fishing presentations, bait, knots, parts of a fish, fish identification, ‘Clean Drain Dry’ and conservation.  There were over two hundred kids along with their parents that attended the seminar.   After the seminar, many parents said they learned a tip or two!! 

Once the seminar was completed, the families went down to the Fox River to utilize their newly learned skills and caught many fish.  The largest fish of the day was a eight pound catfish, you should have seen the smile on his face!!!  After fishing, it was time for lunch and distribution of prizes.  Every youth went home with a prize that they selected.  The Lil Angler event was celebrating its 15th anniversary!!!
