The team of Kyle Anderson & Dave Longtine entered the 2012 FM Walleyes Cormorant Fall Classic with the lead in the Classic Cup Points Race. A solid finish in the Fall Classic would give them a Lund Boat & Shoreland’r Trailer combo in addition to having their names engraved on the prestigious Classic Cup. Previous Champion teams of Mike Kerzman & Paul Weiss, Chris & Gene Schroeder, Eric & Brian Bjorkman and Fred Sanchez & Chris Roehl were close behind, waiting for any opportunity to take the championship for themselves at the final tournament of the year.

The Fall Classic results were in and the top 5 Classic Cup teams took to the stage. Anderson & Longtine stood next to previous Classic Cup Champs Chris and Gene Schroeder, 2011 Fall Classic Champs Bob Schlieman & Shawn Nygaard, and annual top finishers Victor Klosterman & Todd Tableman and Jon Wiser & Rob Bahr.
As the final standings were announced two teams remained. Kyle and Dave found themselves on stage with Chris and Gene Schroeder. Years earlier both teams were in the same place with the Schroeders taking home the Cup. Tensions were high as the results were announced. Kyle and Dave learned they had WON by a single point. Déjà vu was not to be in 2012 – Anderson & Longtine had earned the right to hoist their Cups as the 2012 Classic Cup Champions.
Additionally, Anderson & Longtine qualified for the $2500 Lund Boats Season Points Championship Bonus as they piloted their 1800 Lund Pro V tiller in each of the FM Walleyes Tournaments. The Lund Boats season point’s bonus sponsorship recognizes the FM Walleyes Classic Cup as one of the most popular, competitive and coveted walleye tournament achievements in the Nation.
