Minneapolis, Minn. (April 1, 2013) – A major outbreak of a serious illness known to anglers across the Midwest-Walleye Fever-has called for fast and decisive action. The Cabela’s store in Owatonna was the first to isolate the cause of the epidemic and has researched and found a cure. And just in time. Experts will be brought in the weekend the 13th and 14th of April for decisive action. Hands-on new product information. Skill-building seminars. Even the professional All-Star Walleye School panel of experts. All free.
Throughout the weekend, experts like Bill Shimota, Brian “Bro” Brosdahl, Eric Olson and Mark Courts will provide walleye-fever shattering information. In fact, the All-Star panel, from 3pm to 5pm on Saturday, will answer all your questions:
• How to locate fish in new waters and changing conditions
• Improve your river fishing techniques
• Using your electronics for more and bigger fish
• Take the fear out of trying new techniques such as trolling with leadcore or handlining
Even the legend of fishing, Babe Winkelman will be in Owatonna at the store on Saturday to solve this serious case of cabin fever. Also Mark Fisher, Jason Mitchell, Kirt Hedquist, Paul Meleen, Bob Jensen and Jake Bartz will all lead seminars.
For advanced cases, a more aggressive approach may be required in the Walleye Capital of the World: Lake of the Woods/Rainy River near Baudette, Minnesota. This second round of treatment, August 8 through 11, 2013, is scheduled at the All-Star Walleye School with lodging and classroom accommodations at the recently renovated Sportsman’s Lodge. The intense two-and-a-half days of instruction with the best walleye anglers in the country, guys like: Kevin McQuoid, Mark Courts, Brian “Bro” Brosdahl, Bill Shimota, Dan Stier and Eric Olson.
“We know how hard cabin fever hits this time of year and we’re excited to kick off walleye season at the Cabela’s store in Owatonna,” shared Chip Leer, host of the All-Star Walleye School and emcee for the April 13/14 weekend in Owatonna. “The weekend in Owatonna is completely free. So much information from the experts. Folks will really enjoy coming out to talk to the experts and get ready for the season.”
