NATIONAL GUARD TO SERVE AS TITLE SPONSOR OF FLW WALLEYE TOUR
WALKER, Minn. (Sept. 25, 2010) – FLW Outdoors, in conjunction with the National Guard, announced at the 2010 FLW Walleye Tour Championship that the National Guard will serve as title sponsor for the Walleye Tour in 2011.

Trisha Blake, President of FLW Outdoors Marketing Division stated, “We could not be more proud of our long-standing partnership with the National Guard. The impact that they have had on the sport of fishing has been tremendous and we look forward to further leveraging our relationship in 2011, including the further development and growth of the soldier appreciation tournaments held in conjunction with FLW Outdoors’ events.”
The involvement of the National Guard with the Walleye Tour will allow for more appreciation tournaments in conjunction with tour events offering positive opportunities for soldiers, veterans and families. These events present an avenue to display the appreciation everyone should have for those that serve our country.
“FLW Outdoors is a great partner with us and we feel the organization reflects the values that are important to the Guard: duty, loyalty, honesty, integrity and honor,” said Lt. Col. Jacob Kulzer of the National Guard. “We are excited about the opportunities that will be afforded to soldiers and getting them involved and the families a part of it. We are seeing the growth at each and every tournament and we are real excited about being involved and the future this program has to offer.”
