“Notes From the Desk”      

  •  2011 NPAA Conference January 7-9, 2011 @ Holiday Inn and Suites Airport in Minneapolis.  Book Your Room Now!  Click HERE to book your guestroom by Wednesday December 29, 2010! When making your reservations on line simply click the link above, enter your arrival date (1/7-10/2010) and how many nights you will be staying, then click CHECK AVAILABILITY (don’t enter anything else – no need, it will automatically populate to the discounted group block of rooms).  If you prefer to call directly to make reservations you can call, 1-800-465-4329 and reference GROUP CODE:  ANG to get you the discounted rates on or before 12/29/2010•§  We are currently working on finalizing the agenda for the January conference.
  • If you have input on any topics you would like to see covered in our presentations, please E-mail Pat Neu by 10/18.  We already have a great line up of speakers and some topics that will provide vital information for our members.
  • NPAA Members Greg Karch #138, Rick Zachowski #231, and Mark Schram #182 worked with the families of returning active duty soldiers at a welcome home event in Oshkosh, Wisconsin on Saturday October 2nd. 
  • Please consider signing up for the “Fish On Kids Books” fundraising program we announced yesterday!  Every member that signs up an helps sell these great outdoor oriented books will be helping to fund our Youth Events program for 2011! 
  • The NPAA will be announcing a new “Tournament Partner Program” for the 2011 tournament season!  Please have the tournament directors of the events you fish contact Pat Neu at (920)856-6151 for details.
  • Any NPAA member who would like exposure for their tournament finishes or sponsor achievements can submit a Member generated press release to us to be sent out to our members and our industry contacts.  These releases will be titles “NPAA Member Press Release”.  These releases need to follow the NPAA Release format.  Examples can be found at www.npaa.net under the News Tab.  Releases issued in ALL CAPS will not be forwarded to our press contacts. Our press partners cannot print articles in all caps.
  • NPAA Members can submit items in bullet point form for use in our “Notes From the Desk”.  Those items will be sent out once a month around the 15th of each month.
  • Please Help!: We need Legislative Watch Dog Committee Members for : Illinois, Iowa, Ohio, Montana, North Dakota, South Dakota, Wyoming. Contact Pat Neu to volunteer today! 
  • This is a great time of year to recruit up new Members and Supporting Partners!  New Members receive the remainder of this year and all of next for the same price!! Suggest that potential new members check out the advantages of membership at www.npaa.net.  I have attached a copy of the membership application.  Also attached is a copy of the 2011 Supporting Partner Program.
