NPAA member Greg Karch #138 and Rich Stadler #742 held a Family Fishing Clinic at Plymouth Church in Oshkosh, Wisconsin.  The event started out with a short video that Greg and Rich shot and produced to give the families the appearance that Greg and Rich were still on the water fishing and that they might be late for the fishing clinic.

After the video, Rich, came running down the main aisle in church, with the walleye that was caught in the video.  Greg then presented his ‘Fishing Basics’ seminar which reviewed fishing safety, open and closed spinning combos, setting the hook, casting, knots, fish identification, bait, catch and release, and the AIS message of ‘Clean, Drain and Dry’.

After the seminar, the families then engaged in educational stations where they participated in activities such as casting, knots, bait, lure making, and the families got to go in Greg and Rich’s Triton Fishunter Boats with Mercury motors.  Subway subs were then served.  After lunch it was time to go fishing, where many fish were caught thanks to the lively bait donated by The Reel Shot.

Each youth went home with a fishing combo and Plano tackle box full of tackle thanks to NPAA, Shakespeare, Plano, Stadler Machining, TTI Blakemore Fishing Group, Northland Tackle, Subway of Oshkosh and Plymouth Church.

Greg and Rich would like to thank all the volunteers that helped and Greg sponsors: Dave’s Musky Club, Shakespeare, Berkley, Plano, Mercury, Triton Boats, The Boat Doc, Off Shore Tackle Company, Northland Tackle, TTI Blakemore Fishing Group, Navionics, NPAA, Future Angler Foundation,  Maui Jim and The Reel Shot.
