NPAA Members Host Devils Lake Event

NPAA members Jay Hagen and Johnnie Candle hosted the Lake Region Anglers Adult Child event on Devils Lake August 3rd, 2014.  24 young anglers participated in the event with 16 adults.  The weather was good and the catches were even better.  The limits for the event are 5 walleye, 3 pike, and 10 white bass.  That is a challenge for adults, let alone children.

The team of Schleive and Schomento won with 44.87 pounds and the largest white bass at 3.24 pounds.  Jace Trana caught the largest pike weighing in at 13.52 pounds and the Van Overbekes caught the largest walleye at 6.61 pounds.

 Every adult received a nice selection of Berkley products and were thanked for taking the time to bring their kids or neighbors fishing.  Every young angler received a bag of Gulp!, a Flicker Rig and a Flicker Shad donated by Berkley, along with a rod/reel combo donated by the NPAA.  The day ended with a presentation on preventing the spread of ANS and a meal of hot dogs and chips.
