NPAA Members Kyle Agre #664, Scotty Brewer #665, Barry Chouinard #996, Chad Maloy #499, Johnnie Candle #42, Nancy Koep-Koubsky #323 and volunteers from club partner FM Walleyes Unlimited conducted youth fishing activities at Scheels Fish Fest in Fargo, North Dakota on Friday and Saturday, May 4th and 5th.

The event included a casting event where the young anglers tried to cast into the open mouth of a hungry fish target.  NPAA members and club volunteers assisted the youngsters in becoming better at the art of casting.

Each young angler was given a t-shirt for their participation.  In addition to the casting, the young anglers participated in a tackle building activity where they learned how to tie a snell knot and were able to make their own spinners with the help of NPAA members and club volunteers.  Upon completion, they were able to put the spinners that they had made in a tackle pack donated by Plano and take them home with them.

Both youngsters and parents enjoyed the opportunity to learn in a fun, hands-on environment.

Thank you to the following:  NPAA, Scheels All Sports, Plano and FM Walleyes Unlimited for their contributions to this event.
