Building on tremendous growth in 2010, the National Professional Anglers Association Supporting Partners increased again as Toyota joined the ranks. Last year, a total of 16 new supporting partners agreed with the principals of growing the sport of fishing, and wanted to become part of this influential organization.
NPAA Executive Director Pat Neu said, “With a 76 percent Supporting Partner growth last year, I expect to see continued growth in the future.” He said Toyota joined to support the pro anglers in the upper Midwest and to help grow the sport. Neu said, “Toyota can see a direct correlation between the growth of fishing and sales.”
Regional Truck Manager Vince Harris said, “Our affiliation with the NPAA is a natural step in generating awareness of our products to sportsmen and anglers in this area. NPAA members are respected authorities and we want to back an organization that’s making a difference.”
Neu was proud to welcome Toyota as the first new supporting partner of 2011.
“I believe the numbers will grow due to what we’re doing, and both industry and non-endemic partners will recognize the value we bring via a broad membership base, a strong social networking effort and regular communication to the outdoor media and to the fishing and marine industry.
