Quality Flow Systems Presents the AIM Mississippi River “Quest for the Best 2020”
Presented by Yamaha Motor Corp USA and Warrior Boats LLC.
In response to the announcement at the NPAA Conference in January, AIM is proud to unveil an exciting, stand alone, team-style event on June 19-20th 2020 on pools 3, 4 and 5 of the Mississippi River. Adding to the continued success of the AIM Weekend Walleye Series, this event will use the popular Catch-Record-Release Format, for the anglers battling to become the Kings of the Mississippi!
Higher entry fees of $1,000 per team will be accompanied by impressive payouts; including the winners taking home $30,000 cash, plus Championship rings and trophies, in a full field of 100 teams. The victors will also receive a birth into the AIM Weekend Walleye Series National Championship for the 2020 season, which is a no entry fee event, where anglers fish for a Warrior/Yamaha BMT package, valued at $50k plus.
Pat Malay, owner of Quality Flow System Inc. in New Prague, MN believes that this union between AIM, Quality Flow and The Mississippi River fishery, can truly hit a home run with local anglers and national anglers alike. “Quality Flow Systems is a proud representative of KSB submersible pumps and is a control panel manufacturer. We wanted to allow AIM the opportunity to bring this event to the area to showcase the camaraderie and love for competitive fishing.”
“We choose locations based on quality fishing experiences, at perfect times” said Denny Fox, AIM National Tournament Director. “With the new proposed regs likely to be in effect of only one walleye or sauger over 20” allowed in possession, this will be a great event to showcase how good this system is through the CRR format of AIM. The bite should be incredible, and teams will have no worries about slot regulations nor which fish they should keep.”
The walleye fishing on pools 3, 4 and 5 of the Mississippi River in June will truly incorporate any and all presentations. Trolling lead core and crankbaits, dissecting wing dams with willow cats, pitching jigs and plastics against rocky shorelines; these anglers will have multiple presentation options while they’re vying for the title!
If you’re a tournament angler who’s looking for an exciting and lucrative event, set these dates aside and stay tuned for more detailed information, full payout structures and entry forms soon.
