Robinson and Bernath Win Northern Ontario Walleye Trail`s Mattagami First Nation Walleye Tournament

Jamie Robinson NPAA # 387 and partner Terry Bernath won the Northern Ontario Walleye Trail`s (NOWT) first event of 2011. The event was held June 4th and 5th at Mattagami First Nation and hosted 129 teams.
Robinson and Bernath`s 2 day, 12 fish limit of 35.16 pounds set the new total weight record for the tournament. Their weight was 7.16 pounds ahead of second. They also won big fish on Saturday with a 8.45 pound walleye.
For their efforts they won $10 000 for first and $1080 for the big fish on Saturday.
They caught their walleye`s using spot specific techniques which included pitching Fin-tech Nuckle ball jigs and bottom bouncing Yakima Bait rigs.
Robinson and Bernath now hold the NOWT total weight records for three tournaments including Dubreuilville Father`s Day Walleye Tournament, Kapuskasing River Walleye Tournament and Mattagami First Nation Walleye Tournament.
