Yamaha, Warrior Boats are Presenting Sponsors of the 2016 AIM Weekend Walleye Series
Anglers Insight Marketing (AIM) is again proud to announce it is partnering with Yamaha Motors and Warrior Boats as the Presenting Sponsors of the third annual AIM Weekend Walleye Series tournaments.
“AIM is very excited to be associated with two of the top manufacturers of outboard engines and watercraft in North America for the third straight season of America’s best walleye tournament series,” stated Denny Fox, AIM’s national tournament director.
“They’re on board for the 14 events on our schedule that stretch from Green Bay, Wisconsin, to Lake Sakakawea, North Dakota, starting with this year’s first event April 10 on the Fox River at Green Bay, to the final tourney in late August,” Fox said. “And, with our format of one-day team competition with low entry fees so anyone can challenge the big guns, lucrative payouts, and Catch-Record-Release™, you can’t beat AIM for competitiveness and fairness.”
“We at Yamaha are proud of our continued Presenting Sponsor relationship with AIM and the Weekend Walleye Series, and recognize their efforts of the sustainable C-R-R concept”, added David Ittner, Tournament and Pro Staff Manager for Yamaha Motor Corp. “We look forward to the 2016 season and are excited to offer a great lineup of outboards to power many of the competitors. Our new VMAX SHO® 4.2L Four-Stroke – 25″ Shaft and our F300 V6 4.2L Four-Stroke Series are perfect fits for AIM Anglers.”
And, at AIM’s National Championship on June 3 and 4 on the St. Louis River and Lake Superior, between Superior, Wisconsin, and Duluth, Minnesota, one team will go home with a Warrior 1898 dual console deep-V with walk-through windshield, built-in coolers forward and a 25-gallon rear livewell, powered by a Yamaha 150 four-stroke. Together with its Warrior Ez Loader custom trailer, the package is worth $56,500.
“Warrior, too, is just as excited to renew its partnership with AIM and its forward-thinking Catch-Record-Release™ format that has been a part of the series since its inception,” stated Kent Andersen, National Sales Maager for the Melrose, Minnesota-based boat maker.
This year, Andersen said, Warrior introduced the V208 to its lineup. “It’s a 20-foot dual console boat, with a 99-inch beam, featuring an extended front deck, a front livewell, two rear jump seats, and a centered rear livewell that holds 37 gallons,” he said.
Introduced in January, the V208 can be matched with up to 350 horsepower to get you to the fish fast, and dry, thanks to Warrior’s performance hull engineering, full composite construction including fiberglass stringers, and the best warranties in the business, with a lifetime hull warranty, three-year bow-to-stern coverage, and five years on its trailers.
New in Yamaha’s extensive outboard lineup is the big bore 4.2-liter V6 VMAX SHO™, pumping out 200, 225 or 250 get’er done horsepower. Micro-textured cylinder walls and new intake system help boost fuel eocnomy on this four-stroke by up to 12 percent compared with competitive two-strokes.
