Minneapolis, Minn. (Oct. 13, 2011) – The first-ever All-Star Walleye School was successfully completed on Leech Lake in Walker, Minnesota. Liddle Marketing Company, in partnership with the National Guard FLW Walleye Tour, Ranger Boats and Chase on the Lake Resort, held the inaugural event this fall. It was everything the attendees wanted it to be-and more.

“What a great value, when you consider the classroom time, the time on the water with the pros, great food and really nice accommodations,” shared Jim Weaver, attendee from Elkhorn, Neb. “I’ve fished for years, and I had a lot of misconceptions on fishing,” continued Weaver. “The pros honed my skills so that I’ll be a much better fisherman from here forward.” Weaver felt the school was far better in a hands-on environment, preferable over simply reading an article. The attendees were all smiles as they left the beautiful Chase on the Lake facilities last week, taking their ramped up walleye skills with them.

The All-Star anglers: National Guard pro Mark Courts, Paul Meleen and Kevin McQuoid, shared their high-level information in a way that everyone could digest. Chip Leer, emcee for the National Guard FLW Walleye Tour was the host for the week. “This school was really quite unique,” added Leer. “The attendees all had a chance to voice exactly what techniques they were looking to learn about, and Kevin, Mark and Paul customized what they covered.” Both time on the water and in the classroom helped drive home the content.

“I loved fishing in the pros’ Ranger boats and seeing all their gear,” shared class attendee Dan Fix of Lincoln, Neb. “Getting both classroom time to discuss and then hit the lake to put it to practical use was great.” Courts, McQuoid and Meleen, All-Star anglers each in their own right with numerous wins and titles, led the class curriculum.

George Liddle was impressed with what he saw in the two-plus days. “For these guys to ask a question one-on-one of Mark, Kevin and Paul, and then be on the water an hour later having it explained and shown to them was just priceless,” added Liddle. “No notepad can contain all that they learned. It really was a great event.”

Additional All-Star Walleye Schools are planned for the 2012 season. Contact Chip Leer at 218-547-4714 or e-mail: [email protected]. See www.liddlemarketingcompany.com for complete details.
