Warmer temps this week and it seems like a lot of changes are going on. Been finding a lot of fish transitioning deeper and been seeing a lot of classic trolling and bottom bouncer/spinner harness bites really kick in.
Also been running bottom bouncers and spinners along deep weed edges. Bottom bouncers work well in weeds when on the outside edge because the bouncer acts like a big weed guard. The key is to pull fast to keep the harness high and use short snells. If you are picking up a lot of debris on the blades and hooks, speed up or shorten the snell. Adding floats can also help.
Just edited a new video from a recent trip to northern Manitoba. Encountered cool and windy conditions but unbelievable fishing. Felt great to get north of the border again.
We still have some lodging openings coming up in July if you are planning a summer walleye fishing trip. Be sure to check us out at jmolodging.com.
