For those who may not have heard of this tremendous event, The Next Bite hopes you’ll pass this on to your friends and family. Operation Muskie is all about thanking veterans and providing an opportunity to get out on the water. It’s been an honor and a privilege for The Next Bite to have filmed several of these events; and hope there will continue to be many supporters of Operation Muskie, helping thank our veteran heroes.

Operation Muskie Announces 2011 Event
Operation Muskie puts saying “Thank You” into action by providing recent combat veterans with an all-expenses-paid, fully-guided Muskie fishing trip on Lake of the Woods. Since the initial event in 2008, Operation Muskie has been able to provide a free thank-you trip to 60 veterans; it will provide another 20 veterans the same amazing experience next summer.
The fourth annual trip will take place from June 27th – July 1, 2011.
Any American or Canadian veteran who has served in an overseas combat zone since 1995 is eligible to attend. Operation Muskie will be accepting applications from interested veterans from January 1st until February 15th. The application form and instructions are available for download on the Operation Muskie website.
Operation Muskie would not happen without the support of a wide range of sponsors, large and small. Putting on an event of this magnitude is an expensive proposition. Please visit the Operation Muskie website for information on how you can help out.
