When fishing it’s an unwritten rule, but you should not cross in front of a boat that is already fishing. When setting up either start your trolling pass to the port or starboard of boats already fishing or start behind boats that are already trolling. Passing in front of another angler is not only considered bad etiquette, it’s a good way to find yourself tangled in another fisherman’s lines.
