This year is the 16th annual Spirit Lake Walleye Classic and the winner will take home $10,000.

The entry fee is $250 per team for the two-day event.

Participation is open to anyone accompanied by a teammate 18 years or older. Anyone under 18 must have the signature of a parent or guardian. Only two people are permitted per boat.

The number of total payouts will be based on the amount of entries the past couple of years there have been over 75 teams.

There are varying take off positions, too, depending on the team registrations.

Official weigh-in is at 3 p.m. both Saturday and Sunday with Sunday’s followed by the awards ceremony at the Marina.
