Eva Shockey to Attend the 2015 Muzzy® Bowfishing Classic
CARTERSVILLE, Ga. – Eva Shockey, one of the most influential women in hunting, is scheduled to attend this year’s Muzzy Classic bowfishing tournament, at Lake Guntersville, Ala., April 25 and 26. Shockey, a Muzzy shooter, will be on-hand to sign autographs and talk with attendees at the Friday night Meet & Greet as well as during the pre-festivities and send off on Saturday.
Eva is a classic modern hunting leader who fully understands hunting and conservation, with a genuine passion for the outdoors and the industry that supports it. Growing up with renowned hunter and television personality Jim Shockey as her father, Eva was brought into the woods and found herself in front of the camera at an early age. Adding her drive for adventure, Eva has become a distinguished hunter, outdoorswoman and TV personality in her own right, making a name for herself within the industry and with her ever-growing fan base around the world.
Recently, Eva graced the cover of Field & Stream magazine, only the second woman to be featured on the cover in the magazine’s 119-year history. Her predecessor was England’s Queen Elizabeth, photographed with her hunting dogs in 1976-12 years before Eva was born. Eva spends most of the year traveling the world, hunting and co-hosting “Jim Shockey’s Hunting Adventures” as well as representing the Outdoor Channel at various television and red-carpet events. As a Muzzy brand ambassador Eva shoots Muzzy in the field and in the water. This year she will be bowfishing with the new Addict and Alcatraz products.
“Eva’s ability to balance hunting, travel and family into what she describes as the ‘best lifestyle in the world’ is inspirational to everyone that meets her,” said Rich Krause, FeraDyne Outdoors CEO. “It is such a pleasure to have her as part of the Muzzy family.”
You can join Eva and Muzzy at what will be the biggest Muzzy Classic ever. With a first place cash payout of $10,000, more waters to fish, up to four-person teams and a huge prize table, this tournament is slated to be one of the largest in the country.
Online registration is open and is highly encouraged. Starting position is given in order of registration. Online registration is open until 72 hours prior to the tournament. Onsite registration will be available the day of the tournament. A total of 78 teams competed last year, so pre-registration is important to securing a good starting position.
