HARTFORD, Conn., (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — The 18th Northeast
Fishing & Hunting Show will be Friday, February 13 through Sunday,
February 15, 2015 at the Connecticut Convention Center, 100 Columbus
Blvd. in Hartford, Conn. Hours: Friday, February 13 from 12 noon to 8
p.m.; Saturday, February 14 from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.; and Sunday,
February 15 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
“This is a great outing for the entire family with 50 hours of
seminars, hands-on activities, and hundreds of booths showcasing the
latest products for fishing and hunting enthusiasts,” explains
organizer Kristie Gonsalves, President of North East Expos. “Attendees
discover and can purchase the newest fishing, hunting and outdoor
equipment by some of the nation’s top manufacturers. They meet charter
boat captains, check out latest models of fishing boats, watch fly
casting and fly tying demonstrations, and enjoy numerous interactive
activities. Back this year is the ‘Elements of Nature’ show, showcasing
artists and their unique pieces in wood, antler, stone, clay, bronze,
photography and taxidermy.”
Featured will be the interactive Black Hawk II virtual fishing fighting
chair, daily hunting and pointing dog demonstrations from Dusty W
German Shorthaired Pointers, live Eagle Owl & Harris’s Hawk flight
shows at Talons! Birds of Prey, World’s Outstanding Whitetail (WOW) and
National Wildlife Turkey Federation displays, Catch & Release Trout
Pond where children can win a rod and reel, NRA Laser Shooting Range,
Sportsmen’s Outpost’s archery range, Kids’ Bass Casting Competition
sponsored by the Connecticut Bass Federation; fly-fishing
demonstrations by Marla Blair and Dave Benoit, and fly-tiers
demonstrations by Dave Brandt, Mike Motyl, Mike Stewart, and Fred
Wilson.
