The Minnesota Department Of Natural Resources Will Be Holding a CWD public meeting scheduled in the Twin Cities metro area
Date: Friday, April 26
Time: 7-8:30 p.m.
Location: Cafeteria at the DNR’s Central Office (500 Lafayette Rd., St. Paul, MN 55155 )
The DNR is hosting a public meeting in St. Paul to provide details about its chronic wasting disease response efforts. DNR staff will go over surveillance findings from the past six months, including results from special hunts, landowner shooting permits and targeted culling through the U.S. Department of Agriculture – Wildlife Services, and discuss how its CWD response plan draft will inform the 2019 deer hunting season.
Representatives from the Minnesota Board of Animal Health, which regulates farmed deer and elk, will also present information at the meeting. Participants also will have an opportunity to ask questions of both agencies.
Public parking will be available in the main DNR parking lot (lot 2 on this map). Signs will be posted to direct visitors from the front entrance.
The venue holds a maximum of 286 people. The DNR will post the presentations online for people who are unable to attend.
